Accessibility commitment
Cece's Kitchn is for everyone who cooks. We're committed to meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the site and to improving from there.
Supported technologies
The site is built to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and assistive technologies including VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, and JAWS.
Accessibility features
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks across every page.
- High-contrast text and adjustable font sizes.
- Captions and transcripts on platform-hosted videos.
- Cook Mode: large step text, screen-stays-on, voice-friendly.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard. We honor visible focus rings and skip-to-content links.
Screen reader support
Recipe ingredients, steps, and timers are announced clearly. Images use descriptive alt text written by creators.
Color contrast standards
Text meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode. Color is never the only signal — icons and labels carry meaning too.
Responsive design
Layouts adapt from phone to large desktop. Touch targets meet the 44×44pt guideline; nothing breaks at 200% zoom.
Reporting accessibility issues

Tip
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is a habit, not a finish line. We audit quarterly, prioritize fixes by impact, and ship improvements in regular releases.
